A rusty steel fuchsia sculpture - five drooping flowers on a gently curving branch, each one a tiny ballerina in steel
The fuchsia is one of nature's most theatrical flowers - each bloom a tiny ballerina: stamens descending like legs en pointe, the stem swelling slightly above the flower - her torso - petals flung outward like a spinning skirt. This sculpture captures that drama in full: five flowers drooping from curved stems on a single gently arching branch. The overall effect is that of a weeping willow in miniature - graceful, layered, and alive with detail. At 115cm tall, it is among the most intricate pieces in the Ferric Garden range.
Hand-shaped from solid 8mm and 6mm steel bar for the stems and heavy-gauge 2mm steel plate for the petals, each sculpture arrives pre-rusted to a beautiful mottled patina and ready to display, standing tall enough to hold its own among your borders for years to come.
