A composed meadow scene, complete in itself and freestanding on a hand-shaped domed base. Three flower stems rise from the centre: a helenium with five drooping petals, a poppy seed head, and a reed head gently bent as if caught in the breeze - the tallest of the three. Three tall grass stems, narrowing at their tips and arching outward, surround the flowers and frame the composition. Every element is hand-shaped from heavy-gauge steel that resists mass production, formed into intricate 3D shapes that can't be stamped or cut flat, and welded together by hand with joints that hold for decades. This is a piece that can only be made one at a time.
Hand-shaped from solid 6mm steel bar for the flower stems and heavy-gauge 2mm steel plate for the petals, grass and base, the sculpture arrives pre-rusted to a beautiful mottled patina and ready to display, standing tall enough to hold its own among your borders for years to come.
