Rusty Metal Iris Garden Sculptures - Set of 3, Over 1m Tall
A set of 3 rusty steel iris sculptures - named for the goddess of the rainbow, one of the most intricate flowers in the garden, captured in steel
Named after Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow and divine messenger who crossed between heaven and earth on a bridge of light, the iris has been revered for millennia - ancient Egyptians painted it as far back as 1500 BC and placed it in the tombs of pharaohs. These sculptures honour the flower's extraordinary complexity: three upright petals forming a central flute, their tips delicately flared; three drooping outer petals, curved along their length and across their width, with softly rippled edges. Each one is hand-shaped individually - the most intricate form in the Ferric Garden range, and among the most rewarding to look at. The traditional gift for a 25th wedding anniversary.
Hand-shaped from solid 6mm steel bar for the stems and heavy-gauge 2mm steel plate for the petals, each sculpture arrives pre-rusted to a beautiful mottled patina and ready to display, standing tall enough to hold its own among your borders for years to come.
